Judy Watson's work big blue world with three stupas, 2004 is included in the inaugural National Indigenous Art Triennial culture warriors. Presenting the work of thirty artists from each state and territory, the Triennial demonstrates the incredible range of contemporary Indigenous art practice and is the largest survey show of Indigenous art at the National Gallery of Australia in more than fifteen years.

Also to celebrate this significant anniversary, the newly-acquired Brook Andrew work Ngajuu Ngaay Nginduugirr
(I see you) will be on display.
Brook will be present Friday 26 October from 1pm to discuss his practice.

Louise Hearman's Untitled #1158, 2004 is a major feature of Art & About - Open Gallery curated by Barbara Flynn and presented by the City of Sydney.
The works of nine artists from Australia, Nigeria, Japan and the USA are mounted on street banner poles throughout the Sydney CBD and village precincts.
"Hearman's seductive portrait of a dog's head against a twilight ground suggests an uncanny reality, testing our ability to distinguish between the familiar and the strange."

Director of the Venice Biennale 2007, Robert Storr, has selected three leading Australian artists for his thematically curated exhibition, "Think with the Senses – Feel with the Mind: Art in the Present Tense": Rosemary Laing; Shaun Gladwell and Christian Capurro.
Rosemary Laing will exhibit three works from her 2004 series, To walk on a sea of salt.
The three photographs, welcome to Australia; 5.10am, 15 December, 2004; and you can even pay later; depict the exterior of the Woomera detention centre.

Major works by Brook Andrew, Peter Hennessey and Patricia Piccinini are included in The Hague Sculpture exhibition DE OVERKANT/DOWN UNDER: Contemporary Art from Australia and the Netherlands. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, The Hague Sculpture exhibition runs from 15 June to 9 September. Brook Andrew and Peter Hennessey were each commissioned to make new works for the 2007 special jubilee exhibition.

Organised by Des Moines Art Center and the Frye Art Museum, Seattle, Hug includes sculpture, drawings, photographs and video based work created between 2002 and 2006.
