Constanze Zikos has been invited by the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney, to create an installation at the Level 2 Contemporary Projects Space. Drawing upon a combination of eclectic sources from neo-classical design to death metal, Fit for Flogging will be on display between 13 April and 21 May 2006. These wall pieces allude to everyday architecture - sidewalks, elevators, subways, patterns.
Zikos investigates the practical function of architecture using a decorative, pop and abstract aesthetic.
